Testicle Hazard: Everything Has Its Price
CD - PacRec, USA- 2007 - PACREC133

Reviews:

Finished listening the CD on PacRec. Even for person spending a lot of time listening to harsh noise, it is sometimes difficult to say why something is good and something is not. When differencies are extremely small. Despite ugly cover (hah!), this disc must be the best of harsh noise I have heard lately. While in live situation, they sometimes - even if being amazing - give slight impression of Incapacitants copycat, I think now in studio material, they do stand on their own. Sound is different of what Incapacitants does, even if the basic idea is the same: Two guys doing live noise with amplifiers and table full of gear.
With this concept they are able to avoid trap of overdoing the sound to heavy blurred mass. Sounds remain clear, details upfront, broken and damaged sounding, instead of that heavy bassy pedal wall. Tempo of sound changes is hectic, yet steadiness of bigger picture remains there. I highly enjoy the kind of simplicity, that they often do just the two dominating sounds, which offers enough of texture, but keeps it crudely NOISY sounding. You can barely hear any "clean" sounds. In that sense it's true distorted pedal noise, but obviously the two gentlemen behind this project are masters of their craft and avoid to fall into most of pits what can be there when making harsh noise recordings of today.
If there would be something else what would make me recommend this more than I can do now, is that IF it would be my release... or if they'd have some tasty nude females in the cover. But well, cheap 8$ price allows you to grab some sleaze separately.
Now just waiting for the LP on Trash Rituals. DVD on Freak Animal coming in couple weeks if not sooner. (Mikko Aspa)

Testicle Hazard - Everything Has Its Price CD (PacRec)
Men andra stycket, At the Loft, är riktigt styggt.
